DALLAS, Texas — Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers has made an All-WNBA team in each of her first two seasons, earning a spot on the 2026 second team when the league released its picks Saturday.
Bueckers carried the Wings in her second year. She averaged a team-high 20.9 points and 5.9 assists, along with 4.1 rebounds and about a steal a game, and was voted an All-Star starter. With her leading the way, the Wings made the postseason again, ending a playoff drought that dated to 2023.
She did it efficiently, making 51.2% of her field goal tries and 41% from 3-point range. Among all WNBA players, only four outscored her on a per-game basis, and she sat eighth in assists.
The honor makes her only the third player in franchise history with more than one All-WNBA season. She was also a second-team pick on a separate All-WNBA list voted by a media panel.
The league announced the teams before Game 4 of the WNBA Finals, a month after the regular season wrapped up. Joining Bueckers on the second team are Angel Reese and Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream, Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces and Shakira Austin of the Washington Mystics.
The 10 players picked for the first and second teams line up exactly with the top 10 finishers in MVP voting. Only four of the 10 honorees, the two Atlanta players plus Young and the MVP from Las Vegas, made it past the first round of this year’s playoffs, and the Golden State Valkyries, Atlanta’s opponent in the Finals, had no one selected.
For the Wings, the next step is clear: a first-team nod for Bueckers, a spot in the MVP race and a push toward contention.
