Dallas will host the seventh-annual Vignette Art Fair, focusing on works by Texas women artists. The event invites artists to submit entries, with a submission deadline approaching. The fair emphasizes financial support for artists and offers a free public event, alongside a ticketed preview benefit to boost nonprofit goals. This initiative continues to address gender disparities in the art world, promoting the visibility of female talents across Texas. Previous fairs have successfully showcased a diverse range of artists, fostering an inclusive creative community.
Dallas is set to host the seventh-annual Vignette Art Fair from October 2-4, 2025, exclusively featuring the works of Texas women artists. This year’s event will take place at On The Levee, located at 1108 Quaker St., Dallas, TX 75207. The call for entries is now open, inviting artists to apply with their submissions by the deadline of June 27, 2025.
The 2025 fair will be curated by Maggie Adler, a seasoned curator with over 20 years of experience in the art world. Selected artists will be notified of their acceptance by August 1, 2025, and there is a $36 submission fee for those wishing to participate. Artists will also benefit from the fair’s commitment to supporting them financially, as 100% of sale proceeds from their artworks will go directly to them.
The Vignette Art Fair is free for the public on October 3-4, 2025, providing an opportunity for attendees to explore and appreciate the creativity of women artists from Texas. A ticketed Preview Benefit will kick off the event on October 2, 2025, giving early access to artworks and contributing to the nonprofit’s goals. Texas Vignette is dedicated to addressing gender disparities in the art world, which it aims to achieve through the showcase of exceptional yet often underrepresented regional talent.
In its previous editions, the Vignette Art Fair has attracted diverse talents, with the last event featuring works from 37 selected artists out of over 200 applications. The fair emphasizes a dynamic range and bold vision in the submissions it receives, representing various cities across Texas, including Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Denton, Houston, Nacogdoches, and San Antonio. Such representation is part of the organizational mission to close the gender gap in art, ensuring visibility for female artists.
The organizational focus extends beyond the upcoming fair to its prior event, the 2024 Vignette Art Fair, scheduled for October 17-19, 2024 at Dallas Market Hall. This previous fair showcased 86 artworks by nearly 40 artists, continuing the tradition of highlighting the work of women in the arts. The unique, submission-based nature of the Vignette Art Fair sets it apart from other art events, fostering an environment where talent can be discovered and celebrated.
