Dallas, TX – Undermain Theatre has announced upcoming audition dates for its 2025-26 season, inviting Equity actors to take part in a series of productions that highlight a diverse range of talent. Auditions are set to take place over three days, from July 10 to July 12, 2025, at the theatre’s location on Main Street in Dallas.
Audition slots will be available from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM each day, with a break for lunch from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. The theatre is seeking local Dallas area actors, as well as performers from all ethnic and racial backgrounds, ensuring a commitment to diversity and inclusion in its upcoming season. Each actor will be required to prepare one contemporary or classical monologue that does not exceed three minutes in length. Additionally, participants must bring a headshot and resume, stapled together, along with their Equity Membership Card, which is required for auditioning.
The 2025-26 season will feature four main productions, including:
ACTION by Sam Shepard, which will have rehearsals running from October 14 to November 6, 2025, with performances scheduled from November 7 to November 30, 2025. Key characters being sought for this production include Jeep, Liza, Lupe, and Shooter.
THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH by Thornton Wilder will commence rehearsals on January 27, 2026, and run from February 12 to March 8, 2026. The character roles available include George Antrobus, Maggie Antrobus, Sabina, Henry, and Gladys.
ST. MILES will be presented as a staged reading with rehearsals beginning March 17, 2026, and readings on March 21 and March 22, 2026. Characters for this reading include Opal, Kevin, Joan, Bill, Frankie, and Clarke.
Finally, SATURN RETURN by Gracie Gardner will hold rehearsals starting on April 7, 2026, and performances from April 30 to May 24, 2026, featuring roles for Tori, Franklin, Bucket, Mimi, and Mr. Littman.
During auditions, personnel expected to attend includes Producing Artistic Director Bruce DuBose, General Manager Paul Semrad, Managing Producer Anthony L. Ramirez, and Casting Director Christina Cranshaw. It’s important to note that Undermain Theatre will not provide an Equity Monitor, as the producing team will manage all aspects of the audition process.
