This year, July 4 falls on a Friday, creating an extended three-day weekend for Independence Day festivities throughout North Texas. A variety of events are planned across the region, offering food, fun, music, parades, and spectacular fireworks shows.
Klyde Warren Park in Dallas will kick off free celebrations on June 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a range of food trucks, live music, family-friendly activities, and conclude the evening with a fireworks display.
Meanwhile, Allen will host its Independence Day celebration on June 28 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Celebration Park, featuring live music by the Emerald City Band, impressive skydiving shows, and fireworks. On July 1, Lewisville will have a July 4th event at Wayne Ferguson Plaza, which includes live performances by Kate Watson and The 8Tracks, as well as a drone show and fireworks.

The Colony will have its annual July 4 celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring a 5K run, a parade, and an evening festival accompanied by a fireworks display. Additionally, the McKinney block party is set to take place on July 4, starting with a morning parade and continuing with live music and fireworks from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Pecan Grove Park.
Fair Park in Dallas will also be bustling on July 4 with activities for kids, local vendors, and live music, culminating in a fireworks show scheduled for 9:45 p.m. Fireworks in Grapevine can be viewed from various parks and the observation tower, with festivities beginning at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, while Six Flags Over Texas will offer two days of fireworks shows on July 4-6 at 9 p.m. for park attendees.
Additionally, parades in Arlington and Park Cities will kick off at 9 a.m. on July 4, featuring immersive activities for families. The Freedom Fest in Frisco will showcase a car show, live music, children’s activities, and a fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m.
Granbury will have its fireworks show on July 4 visible from downtown Granbury and Lake Granbury, with the display beginning at 9:45 p.m. Neighborhoods across North Texas, including Duncanville and Carrollton, will also partake in celebratory events that combine parades, food, music, and fireworks.
