The incident saw Johnson stealing cash, two lighters, and two packs of cigarettes, while also attempting to remove a ring from Harris’ finger. After the attack, Harris was hospitalized with second- to fourth-degree burns covering 40% of her body and was placed on a ventilator before passing away on May 25, 2012.
