Auditions for actors will take place at the Wyly Theatre, and the DTC emphasizes diversity and inclusion in its productions, inviting performers from all backgrounds to participate. Subscription tickets are now available, promising an engaging season ahead.

Dallas – The Dallas Theater Center (DTC) has announced its impressive lineup for the 2025-2026 season, highlighting a blend of classic plays and new works. The season includes renowned titles and interactive productions, aimed at attracting a diverse range of audiences. Auditions for actors interested in joining the season will be held on June 10, 2025, at the Wyly Theatre.

The auditions will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a break scheduled from 12:20 PM to 1:20 PM. To secure an appointment, Equity members must email the DTC office and provide confirmation of their membership. Non-union actors will also have an opportunity to audition if space allows. Various roles are open for the upcoming season, and performers will be considered for understudy positions as well. Equity actors can expect contracts with varying weekly minimums based on LORT classifications, ranging from $839 to $1,144.

In preparation for the audition, actors are required to perform a brief monologue and bring a stapled headshot and resume. Personnel involved in the casting process includes Executive Director Kevin Moriarty, Interim Artistic Director Jonathan Norton, and Casting Director Daryl Eisenberg, CSA.

The 2025-2026 DTC season will feature a diverse range of productions, including:

  • Noises Off, written by Michael Frayn, runs from October 3-26, 2025, at the Kalita Humphrey Theater.
  • A Christmas Carol, adapted by Kevin Moriarty, will take place from November 28 – December 27, 2025.
  • Fat Ham, a co-production with Stage West by James Ijames, premieres regionally from January 30 – February 8, 2026.
  • Where We Stand, another co-production with Stage West by Donnetta Lavinia Grays, will run from February 25 – March 22, 2026.
  • Ragtime, in collaboration with SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts, will be performed from March 27 – April 19, 2026.
  • Malcolm X & Redd Foxx Washing Dishes at Jimmy’s Chicken Shack in Harlem, a world premiere by Jonathan Norton, is scheduled for May 8 – June 7, 2026.

The DTC is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within its productions and encourages performers of all backgrounds—including various ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities—to audition. The theater’s efforts reflect its belief in the importance of representing a broad array of perspectives on stage.

In addition to the announced productions, the DTC is continuing its collaboration with Stage West Theatre for three years, enhancing its engagement with the local arts community. Furthermore, the theater has established a multi-year partnership with SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts, bringing educational and professional development opportunities to aspiring artists.

As part of the upcoming season, the DTC is excited to announce Brianna “Bri” Woods as the newest member of the Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company. Woods joins a talented roster of actors already part of the company, including established performers like Christina Austin Lopez and Tiana Kaye Blair.

Subscription tickets for the 2025-2026 season are now available for purchase, although single tickets are yet to be released. As the DTC prepares for another engaging season, it remains focused on fostering a culture of inclusion and welcoming a broad spectrum of talent and perspectives to the stage.
