Dallas – Two men, Rodney Brown (34) and Jorge Moncivais (23), have been charged with murder in connection to a shooting incident that left 33-year-old Drew Knowles dead. The shooting took place around 9 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Live Oak and Cantegral streets during an alleged attempted apprehension by the suspects, who identified themselves as bounty hunters.
According to police reports, Brown and Moncivais attempted to box in Knowles’ vehicle as part of their warrant execution. Eyewitness accounts revealed a chaotic scene resembling the “wild, wild West,” as Brown exited his car with a gun drawn. When Knowles attempted to flee, Brown opened fire, with Moncivais also discharging his weapon multiple times into Knowles’ car.
Knowles was shot in the arm and upper back and crashed his vehicle into a nearby utility pole a few blocks from the shooting scene.
