Finch stands accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Long on April 5, 2025, shortly after 2 a.m., as she left a downtown bar with friends. Long, visiting Dallas from the Houston area for a networking event, was struck during a confrontation initiated by William Kistler, a companion of Long who brushed against the side of Finch’s passing vehicle.
