Tragic Motorcycle Crash in Dallas Claims Two Lives, Including an 8-Year-Old Girl

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday evening in the 3200 block of Lancaster Road in Dallas, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including an 8-year-old girl. The incident took place around 6 p.m. when Kevin Eugene Waggoner, a 33-year-old motorcycle rider, lost control of his bike and struck two children under the age of 10.

Both Waggoner and one of the children, identified as Sirayjah Parson, were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the incident. Waggoner was declared dead at 6:20 p.m., just minutes after Sirayjah, who was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. A second child, aged 7, suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital. The current condition and identity of this child have not been disclosed by authorities.

Witnesses reported that Waggoner was riding the motorcycle on a sidewalk and moving at a high speed, estimated to be around 80 miles per hour, shortly before crashing into the group of children who were playing outside during a baby shower. The celebration was taking place nearby, and Sirayjah was the daughter of the caterer for the event.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that numerous children were present outside just prior to the crash, which underscores the tragedy of the situation. Many in the community have expressed their sorrow and are coming together to support the families affected by this heartbreaking incident.

Crash Investigation Underway

Local law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Details regarding whether Waggoner was a customer or worked at a nearby shop have not been disclosed. The Dallas Fire-Rescue team responded to the scene and was responsible for transporting the injured child to the hospital.

The families of Sirayjah Parson and other children involved in the incident are mourning their losses as they process the aftermath of the crash. The community has engaged in organizing support mechanisms for those affected, highlighting the solidarity and compassion within the neighborhood.
