With local chefs and restaurants involved, the week promises memorable moments for both foodies and families.

Dallas is celebrating Mother’s Day with a series of unique pairing events and culinary experiences throughout the week, providing ample opportunities for families to honor their mothers. From gourmet cupcakes paired with cider to fine dining events, there is something for everyone leading up to the special day.

The highlight of these events is the Mother’s Day cupcake and cider pairing hosted by Trinity Cider, scheduled for Sunday, May 11, at 1 PM. Guests can indulge in gourmet cupcakes paired with four different ciders for a ticket price of $30. Attendees have the option to enjoy their cupcakes on-site or take them home in a pre-packaged box.

In addition to the cupcake and cider pairing, a variety of other Mother’s Day events are available, including a women’s chef dinner, a hat party with cocktails, and a brunch and bubbles sip-and-shop, offering both culinary enjoyment and celebratory experiences.

On Monday, May 5, the Women in Restaurants Leadership Program will host a Capstone Dinner featuring an 8-course meal prepared by culinary students. The event runs from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Dallas College – Culinary Pastry and Hospitality Center, with tickets priced at $89, which will contribute to the students’ tuition costs.

On Tuesday, May 6, participants can enjoy the Mix & Make: Trucker Hat Bar + Mixology Class at Hall Park Hotel. This class offers a chance to craft two signature cocktails for a fee of $55, blending creativity with mixology.

The culinary festivities continue on Wednesday, May 7, with the Bedrock Wine Dinner at Nuri Steakhouse. This event features an elaborate multi-course dinner showcasing esteemed wines from Master of Wine Morgan Twain-Peterson, with individual tickets priced at $225.

A Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Dinner is set for Thursday, May 8, at Wine a Little, offering guests a four-course meal expertly paired with whiskey for $99.

On Saturday, May 10, the Bubbles and Brunch Bites Wine Walk will take place with ticket prices starting at $30 for wine tastings and $45 for brunch. This event promises a delightful experience for wine lovers looking to celebrate Mother’s Day in a festive atmosphere.

In addition to these events, culinary enthusiasts recently gathered in Dallas for the 2025 CultureMap Tastemaker Awards, held on Thursday, May 1, at the Astoria Event Venue in Irving. The awards celebrated the top restaurants, bars, and chefs in the area, culminating in a night full of tastings presented by nominated chefs and cocktails from sponsors including Still Austin Whiskey and Hornitos Tequila.

The event featured specialty cocktails, a variety of small bites, and culminated in the presentation of awards to winners in several categories. A portion of the proceeds from the Tastemaker Awards was donated to the Harvest Project Food Rescue, an organization dedicated to combating food insecurity by distributing surplus produce in the DFW communities.

With a rich array of culinary events scheduled this week, Dallas is set to make this Mother’s Day memorable for families while also supporting local culinary talent and community initiatives.
