The alarm was raised when a witness spotted a kayaker with a dog nearby. Upon checking, the witness only observed the dog swimming beside the capsized kayak. The dog has since been recovered and is reported to be safe, while the search for Chaidez intensifies.
The Collin County Sheriff’s Office is spearheading the search and rescue operations, along with several supporting agencies.
