Dallas – Dallas Innovates, in collaboration with the Dallas Regional Chamber, is preparing to honor innovative leaders in the artificial intelligence sector via its annual AI 75 list. The unveiling of the 2025 AI 75 will take place on April 30 at the Convergence AI Dallas event held at the Irving Convention Center.
The AI 75 event aims to celebrate local entrepreneurs, consultants, researchers, investors, thought leaders, and corporate leaders who have made significant contributions to the AI ecosystem in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Key speakers at the event will include Quincy Preston from Dallas Innovates, Duane Dankesreiter from the Dallas Regional Chamber, and James Harding from Google.
This marks the second year of the AI 75 initiative, which highlights outstanding individuals and their impact across seven defined categories, including Visionaries, Innovators, and Educators. The 2025 list is expected to showcase advancements and contributions that significantly influence various industries through artificial intelligence.
In the previous year’s AI 75 list, honorees included individuals such as State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, recognized for his pioneering efforts in AI governance legislation. Other notable mentions were Ben Lamm and Colossal for their historic breakthroughs in de-extinction and Panna Sharma of Lantern Pharma for advancements in AI-powered cancer therapies, which were awarded FDA Fast Track Designation.
The Dallas-Fort Worth AI ecosystem is quickly evolving and is projected to contribute to a substantial increase in productive capacity, estimated at $4.1 trillion, as generative AI continues to shape the U.S. economy. This figure accounts for roughly 15% of the anticipated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the United States in 2023, underlining the area’s growing significance in the AI landscape.
The upcoming honorees are expected to include notable leaders such as Magesh Bagavathi, Senior Vice President at PepsiCo, recognized for his work in consumer goods AI, and Kalyana Bedhu, AI and Machine Learning Leader at Fannie Mae, noted for their generative AI initiatives. Other anticipated honorees include Stephen Chase from KPMG for leading AI transformation initiatives, Jamie Engstrom, Chief Information Officer at Caterpillar for integrating AI into operations, and Anchal Gupta from American Airlines for improving customer experience through AI technologies.
