The tornado’s impact primarily affected the southwest side of the city, causing damage such as an overturned trailer in the parking lot of Texas Instruments.

In response to the devastation, heavy equipment has been dispatched to key areas, including Farmington Road, to remove trees that have fallen or been snapped, ensuring public safety and providing emergency access to affected neighborhoods. Such tornadoes, classified as “weak,” exhibit wind speeds ranging from 86 to 110 mph, capable of uprooting trees and damaging structures in their path.

Commissioner Marr emphasized the importance of taking cover during such severe weather events. As cleanup becomes a priority, he urged residents to remain alert and prepared for any possible future storms. The community is likely to experience several weeks of cleanup as debris is removed and normalcy is restored.
