Dallas – An investigation is underway following an overnight shooting incident at a convenience store in Dallas. The shooting took place at Fuel City, located in the 800 block of S. Riverfront Boulevard. Police received a call reporting a “shooter on foot” around 6 a.m., prompting an immediate response to the scene.
At the site of the shooting, officers discovered one victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. As of now, police have not disclosed the identity of the victim or provided additional details regarding the events leading up to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities consider this a developing story.
In a separate incident, Arlington police are probing a murder-suicide that transpired on Friday morning at Salon and Spa Galleria Arlington. This tragic event unfolded on the 7800 block of South Cooper Road around 10:15 a.m. A 37-year-old man was shot by a woman also aged 37, who is believed to be the shooter.
Witnesses reported that the woman entered a barbershop suite within the salon and opened fire on the victim, who was seated in a barber chair at the time. The man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. After the shooting, the woman attempted to flee but ultimately returned inside and took her own life as officers arrived at the location.
The woman was subsequently transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. While the exact motive behind this tragic incident remains unclear, it has been established that the two individuals shared a prior romantic relationship. At the time of the shooting, several other patrons were inside the salon; fortunately, no one else was reported injured.
Authorities have yet to release the names of both the victim and the suspect, as the identities will be disclosed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later date.
