FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas, which plays its home games in Frisco, now knows its path through the shortened 2027 MLS Sprint Season, a 14-match bridge to the new league calendar. It starts Feb. 20 with a Saturday trip to Austin FC and wraps up May 8 at Minnesota United.

The home opener at Toyota Stadium in Frisco comes a week after the Austin trip, when the Portland Timbers visit for a 7 p.m. Central kickoff on Feb. 27. The LA Galaxy follow on Wednesday, March 3, and Colorado comes to town March 13 after a March 6 road game at San Diego FC.

The middle of the schedule sends Dallas to Real Salt Lake on March 20 and LAFC on April 3, with Vancouver visiting in between on March 27. San Jose comes to Frisco on April 10, and then the team heads out for two straight away games, at Seattle on April 17 and four days later, on a Wednesday, at Sporting Kansas City.

Two home dates finish the regular season. Houston comes north for the Texas Derby on April 24, and the last home date is May 1 against St. Louis CITY SC.

The Sprint Season exists because MLS is moving to a summer-to-spring calendar starting in July 2027. Teams play only inside their own conference, so Dallas meets each of its 14 Western Conference rivals one time, seven at home and seven away. Eight teams from each conference move on to single-elimination playoffs, which begin in May and run through MLS Cup on Memorial Day weekend.

The club said broadcast plans and home theme nights will be announced later. For fans in Dallas and across North Texas, the short run means only seven chances to see the team at home before the league resets for its first full summer-to-spring season.
